GLOBAL CREATIVE DRINKS MARKETING AGENCY, WONDERWORKS COMMUNICATIONS, LAUNCHES A SCOTTISH OFFICE IN LEITH, EDINBURGH

Global creative and strategic drinks marketing agency, Wonderworks Communications, has announced the opening of its new office in Leith, Edinburgh. The strategic move comes as the agency, founded by creative drinks specialists Miranda Hart and Sarah Wildman King, welcomes a number of new clients north of the border, and looks to continue to grow its portfolio in Scotland.

The agency has worked closely with world-renowned drinks companies such as Chivas Brothers, William Grant & Sons, Mossburn and Suntory Global Spirits. As an award-winning, through-the-line creative agency, the team has garnered recognition from the wider industry for breaking boundaries with its experiential activations (as highlighted in its work with Laphroaig and Bowmore) and hard-hitting serve strategies (as highlighted in its recent launch strategy for Ardray whisky) which ignite consumer and trade demand for these globally established brands.

Sarah Wildman King, Managing Director and Founding Partner of Wonderworks commented:

The rationale behind this central, Scottish hub for the Wonderworks team comes from our desire to best serve our Scotland-based clients as well as the continued success of the Scottish drinks industry which is currently valued at around £15 billion. There’s such a buzz around the industry and this region and we’re delighted to make this move that will allow us to be more physically ‘present’ in it.”

With an established team in Scotland already in place, drinks specialists Megan Keith, Kay Koyama-Gore, Jessica Johnstone McBride and Caleb Powdrill will call the new Leith office home. The Scottish office will also be a hub for all the team – with the wider Wonderworks team invited to split their time between Edinburgh and London.

Wonderworks continues to pioneer with its creative work, which has been reflected in a series of award nominations and wins. Most recently, the agency has been nominated as a finalist at The Drum Marketing Awards EMEA, for their campaign “Welcome to The Gala” with Courvoisier, which looked to entice a new generation of drinkers to the brand and established a new paradigm for Courvoisier within the cognac category globally.

Miranda Hart, Creative & Strategy Director and Founding Partner of Wonderworks said:

“We’ve delivered some truly exceptional work over the last year which has led to us welcome a number of new clients based here in Scotland.  It’s hard to miss the incredible work going on in the Scottish drinks industry at the moment, and this is replicated across so many bars in the likes of Glasgow and Edinburgh which are consolidating their positions as some of the best in the UK.

The on-trade is a vital part of every drinks brand’s success and it’s great to see the increasing range of top quality bars help to encourage an appreciation for the truly fantastic liquids and brands that are available.”

The new office is now open at Clockwise, Room 88 G:02, Commercial Quay,

84 Commercial St, Edinburgh, EH6 6LX - ideally situated in the hip neighbourhood of Leith which is fast becoming a home for business and industry. For more information about Wonderworks Communications and its recent work, visit wearewonderworks.com.
